About friendship

Good morning girls, it's Tuesday!

So I'm in a good mood, at the moment. Which is good. Cuz I'm not usually in good moods.

I absolutely loved everyone's posts! They were all beautiful and gif-y, as usual.

Laura, I will be praying for you. I am sorely sorry that you feel the way you do, because you are beautiful and wonderful and your friendship is the best thing in my life and I feel like you should know that, so that's why I'm here today to talk about you girls. Because you're all beautiful and I want you to know that.

Sometimes, you know, it's not always the first things you notice about someone that makes them special, or worth it- like the way they dress or the way they did their hair or if they're pretty or how much they weigh. I think first impressions are stupid, because you don't know a person very well the first time you meet them. You don't know the way they dance around the kitchen to Mumford and Sons while making lunch, you don't know the way they sound in the morning, or the way they like their coffee, or the way the talk with their hands all the time, or the way they look when they play piano, or they way they flip their hair with every sassy comment they make, or the way they squeal over attractive middle-aged British men.
For me, it's the little things about someone that makes them special and interesting and makes me want to be their friend. And sometimes the little things are the big things too. Like, when someone's a really good listener and is willing to stay up late with you and laugh and cry about every foolish mistake or embarrassing moment you've ever had, who will make you a cup of tea and hug you when you cry, who sends you cards in the mail saying 'I'm thinking about you!' or 'get well' and you just smile because that one person, or two or three people are like the world to you and you feel as if nothing would be the same without them, because it wouldn't be.
The one's who have been with you from the beginning, who know all the crazy and stupid and frankly quite ridiculous things you've done, like playing Barbie vs. Polly Pocket wars, or taking walks and pretending your name is Mrs. Crandleberry, or playing Pooh Sticks at 17 (18!), 16 and 14.
It's those people who know you inside and out, the ones who know you're insecure and messy and a bit of a fixer-upper, but couldn't possibly love you any more because that's exactly what they love about you. They love the way your eyes shine when you re-watch Pride and Prejudice for the sixth-thousandth time, or the way you tear up and squeal while watching One Direction Documentary’s, the way you wrap yourself in a blanket and giggle at yourself for being just so darn adorable.
True love and friendship is having someone there for you- always. Whether it's a sister, a brother, a cousin, a mom, a neighbor, a best friend- whoever it is. I think everyone deserves someone, or several someones, like that in their life. Because sometimes you feel grumpy, depressed, insecure or just lonely, and yes, you need alone time every now and then, but those certain people, they just make life worth it, you know?

Anyway, Laura, I know you told me to write a short post, but- oops. So much for that.

Harry Styles AND Ed Sheeran? My life. I just. nope.
I had a dream I was dating Harry Styles. It was beautiful. It was also in black and white which made it 1000000000x better.

Just one more thing before I go

I'm sort of obsessed with this song right now. It's beautiful. That's all.

I love all your sexy faces!
xoxo, Mercy
