The One When Rosie didn't Post and I don't Let Her forget it.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, our dear Rose Backus has failed to post.... YET AGAIN. Am I bitter? Pshhh. Am I upset. Of course not. Am I missing her sarcastic rants like crazy? Not at all.

Just kidding. I'm very bitter, very upset, and missing her sarcastic rants more than anything. ROSIE. COME BACK PLEASE. I MISS YOU.

Mercy and Laura, I enjoyed both of your posts a lot. Mercy's had a lot of words and Laura's had a lot of gif's and that's a lot of backwardness but it was nice. And I'm happy that you two both have love and dedication for this internet home of ours. *glares at the awkward 4th member of the blog*
Hey guess what happens next week.
Halloween.
I'm excited. Halloween is exciting. I'm dressing up as Alice in Wonderland and Simeon is going to be The Mad Hatter. I'm a tiny bit jealous that I'm don't have plans of staying up and watching movies all night, or hanging out at home with the mother, passing out candy to the small witches and warlocks that come knocking on our door throughout the evening, but hopefully it'll be fun. What are you Backus people doing for the Halloween? My guess is Rose won't be blogging.
Oh Mercy, you have no idea. (Well actually you do. We're basically the same person) I'm so excited for this holiday season. It's crazy that it's already here and that we have barely over two months of 2015 left. I already have a Christmas present for Laura (I've actually had it sitting in my room for about a month) and I know exactly what I'm getting for Rose.  I'm so excited to make cookies more than necessary and start stringing up lights everywhere, and wearing sweaters and leggings and singing along to Michael Buble at the top of my lungs. I'm excited to sit in front of the fireplace and watch Charlie Brown movies about Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm excited to watch decorations go up all over the place, in people's front lawns and in the mall and at church and I'm excited for ice skating and sledding and finding new ways of drinking liquid chocolate. I could go on forever. But I'll stop. Just like Rose stopped blogging.

Okay. So since it's been October and, you know, Halloween and all, I've been trying to psych myself out a little bit. So Mercy and I saw Crimson Peak in theaters last Sunday. It was my first R rated movie at the theaters and as much as I loved it, I sorta didn't like it. I know that doesn't make sense, but it does to me. It was so good and beautiful and I loved it and yet it was so dumb and it wasn't that scary and I wouldn't advise you to spend money on seeing it on the big screen. Maybe one day we'll watch it on The Foursome couch (except probably not Rose) and eat bruschetta and laugh at the silly graphics but love Tom Hiddleston because, obviously, his character is just misunderstood and he's not as twisted and gross as the movie tries to portray him. Anyway, I've also been reading scary books. So right  now I'm about halfway through The Madman's Daughter by Megan Shepherd and it's decent. It definitely scared me last night while I was babysitting and the boys were in bed and I was alone in a different, quite, dark, house. But today I picked it back up and I can see some definite flaws. Whatever. And I have a book at the library, Slasher Girls and Monster Boys, that's waiting for a pickup. It's a collection of short thriller and horror stories and I'm excited to jump into that and pee my pants. I'm not excited to pee my pants, but I'm excited. You know when people have had too much caffeine and they get all jittery and nervous and annoying, that's exactly what my brain is like while typing this up even though I don't think I've ever actually been in one of those moods from too much caffeine. Just too little sleep.

Anyway, I have to pee. And this was all one ramble-y one take post and I should follow Rose's example and just stop. So gnight girls. I miss your faces and I hope you're all doing splendidly. I know Mercy and Laura are because I actually hear from them once in awhile.

I guess I have to do this

Dear people of the interweb,

It is my, Grace Ege's, destiny to punish Rose today. I feel the power tingling at the edge of my fingertips, my blood is pumping and my energy is up.... but I'm not exactly sure what I'm supposed to be doing. Yeah I know that it's like "mock them heartlessly in pretending to be them" or something like that, but I'm still a bit confused. I feel like I'm throwing away a really good opportunity by skipping out on punishing Rose, but I honestly don't really want to very much. I'm overly tired and I'm not on the computer which greatly takes away the power I could have. So instead of trying to use my brain to do something, Google will work better.

Rose, this is for your.

Gurls, I feel like I haven't written a legit post on this blog in awhile. I haven't sat down and thought something through in a long time. The past couple weeks on here have been down to the last couple hours and I haven't said anything of significance.... and that makes me sad because this is my favorite blog with my favorite people. So hopefully this week I can get my life back together and maybe next week I'll give you something of value. But just know that for now I love you all and wish I could write something good for you to read and keep you entertained on this cold and rainy Thursday evening. Sorry. Next week maybe.

It's punishment Wednesday. (Only because Grace said I could).

Good morning gurls, it's hump day!

She's literally my favorite lady. This gif deserves to be huge because she is the best. She's also me in 20 years, but whatever
If you're an observant little reader, you would have noticed that my little welcome greeting sentence thing is both a combination of my welcome greeting thing and Mercy's. Because Mercy forgot to post yesterday, so I get to punish her, because the rule clearly states, "Anyone who fails to write on her assigned day will be punished by whoever posts the day after her, either by mockery and satire, or by a sibling who is not a member of The Foursome writing their post for them." So I get to punish Mercy, because John will not, will not, be allowed to write a post on this blog, or so help me God, I will become a homeless hermit who lives under a dumpster in the great state of Indiana trying desperately to forget the absolute horror of John Issac (yes that is how it's spelled, don't correct me) Backus's terrible awful no good very bad writing. Were was I? Ah, yes. I'm punishing Mercy. Now, I'm not really sure how I can go about this with Mercy getting upset. Honestly, I'm not sure if I can go about this without Mercy getting upset. So I apologize in advance Wifey, but you brought this upon yourself. Also you might want to not read the rest of this post for the sake of our marriage, and for the children.

(The next section of this post is Mercy's punishement, and that is why it is written this font because whenever Mercy talks I hear her in this font. Is that weird? I don't think so.)

Well I couldn't post yesterday because I was busy. I hate being bust because I have to leave the house and I hate leaving the house because I'm an introvert. Did you know I'm an introvert? Of course you didn't because I never talk about how introverted I am. But it's true. I really am an introvert. I am. I swear.

Also, I love Harry Styles. He's my little muffin.

And Hank Green.

Did you know Judge Judy is my alter ego? Because she is. That's the real reason I couldn't post I was doing whatever Judge Judy does (what does Judge Judy do? I actually don't know).

Okay so I'm going to go do (what does Mercy do with her time?) I'm going to go act and drink tea and listen to super awesome music and such things.

So that was... an experience. Mercy, if you're still reading this, please don't ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever not post again because punishment is not as much fun as I thought it was going to be it's just, I just no. No. Nope. Okay, now I'm going to reply to your posts.

Grace: Your post was fantastic, and thought provoking and I really enjoyed it. But the best part was all of the gifs and pictures from this last year of our blog posts, and the best part of that was so clearly Snape.

He really can dance so well it's almost unreal.

Laura: I'm really excited that you're coming home this weekend, but I don't appreciate the fact that you're bringing a stranger into my house. There have been too many strangers who aren't related to me in this house this week. Namely this weird rabbi named Ben. (I'm kidding I swear, I'm sure Libby is really nice.)

However there have been too many people who aren't related to me here lately. Is it too much to ask for a completely silent house devoid of people who make noises/all people? Yeah probably, but whatever.

I should probably bounce. So, sorry again Mercy. And Grace please post tomorrow because punishing people is hard and I would hate to think that Laura would have to do that. Okay? Okay.

Gurl please. -Rose
