yes, I'm writing this in the morning and not procrastinating until the afternoon like I usually do. Why? Because I'm not doing school this week. Why? Because Rose is here AND YOU'RE NOT! (just in case you somehow missed the fact that we're all together and you're not here... I thought I'd remind you.) and it's heartbreaking. Someone took the graham cracker away from our peanut butter s'more and now we're just kind of everywhere and making a mess (literally) in the house and (mentally) in our minds. I'm going to make a list of things that you (Laura) add to the group.
- In-depth conversations. Not many of those have happened this week.
- Motivation. We kind of just sit around and have no motivation to actually do anything. Every once in awhile we will walk to the park. But not very often
- Food. We haven't cooked anything yet, except tuna fish sandwiches and a butter beer drink disaster
- A sense of normality. The balance between weird and normal is completely gone. Laura, you'd probably die if you were here. It's really hard to keep Mercy and Rose from going completely insane.
So, in the spirit of the TFiOS release that is happening soon, I'm listening to all the music that is in the movie trailer that I found on Spotify. And now I found the whole movie soundtrack on Spotify (MERCY JAKE BUGG SINGS A SONG AND I'M LISTENING TO IT) except Ed Sheeran's song isn't available in the US which stinks because it's the best song ever. I guess that's what we get for not letting the UK see TFiOS until July. They withhold music from us.
and now for some best friend/sister gifs because they're the best
I want to do this for all of our phone conversations |
Oh, and I forgot to reply to your posts so I guess I'll do that before I say goodbye because I might be kicked off of the blog if I don't. So here goes
Laura, your post was wibbly wobbly timey wimey but good. It got me thinking about writing to my past self and even though I'm only 16, I was thinking of me at the beginning of Sophomore year because over that year and this year, I've changed in tremendous ways and I've gone though a lot of things. Both amazing, wonderful things and some seriously crappy things and it's nice to know that insecure, naive, younger me was able to make it though and grow into something a little less naive and and little bit more confident in her family, friends, God and most importantly, herself.
And to your past self, you're party was pretty grand. We ate a lot and laughed and even though we didn't spend every second together, it was still nice to celebrate your accomplishments with you, your family, and your friends.
Mercy and Rose, spending time with you gurls is great and weird and MAYOnaise and tripping and tentacles and dancing gracefully and imaginary friends and most importantly Glayglow Men. Laura, we might have to tell you about Glayglow Men, but not until you get here. And I can already hear your snarky voice moaning "I hate you all" when we describe Glayglow.
I hope the next time we're all together is when we can jump up and down because we're going to see TFiOS together. But until then, I love you all and I'm glad that we have this blog, and Tumblr, Pinterest, texting, FaceTime, Facebook and the other various ways to stay in touch over this weird week. But I'm even more glad that we shall be reunited sooooon <3 Grace
