I swear I had good and serious intentions for this post, but then I Googled 'hello it is i a simple bagel' and LOOK AT ALL THE FUNFUNNY THINGS I FOUND! I thought they all belonged on Our Thoughts Are Stars, because we are fun and funny people with weird senses of humor, and so are (I hope) our lovely followers.
Anyway, I'm back! The Foursome's lives are pretty much back to normal- Rosie is home from spending the week at the Ege's, and I returned from freshman orientation on Tuesday afternoon. We went as a group to see The Fault in Our Stars yesterday, and...yeahh...let's just say that it was

the biggest understatement of the decade.

But then we got to help with the grad night at G&M's church, to get service hours for The Hartford Project, and we got to meet some of the cool people who are lucky enough to be friends with the Ege gurls, some of whom we will be spending the week with at the end of the month, and for that I am definitely very excited. So after that I started to feel a little more
Seriously, some of the artwork created by TFiOS fans is beautiful.

this looks like something Rosie would do! |
I need to focus. Sorry, readers and Foursome members, for my rabbit-trailing. I guess you could say
Moving on. Gracie, Mercy, and Rose- I loved your letters, both the ones you wrote on this blog as well as the actual ones you snail-mailed to me, half of which arrived on Saturday and the other half came just now. It warms my sarcastic little soul to know that you gurls missed me. It honestly made me feel more optimistic about college, because now I know y'all won't forget about me. So, even though you three left and hung out without me all week, God made something awesome and reassuring come out of it :)
As you all know, the reason I could not sleepover at the Ege's last week was because I had orientation at SHU. And I want all of our probably very concerned readers to know I survived. Actually, I more than just survived- I had a blast. I made friends. I connected with some faculty. I even found a very nice and normal-seeming girl to room with in the fall! I was so worried about the whole school experience, but now I am confident that I will do just fine next year. I am so ready to go back, yet also looking forward to a somewhat relaxing summer, in which I will slowly say goodbye and sleep in and read old books by the light of every fiery sunset.
I didn't just pine after the company of my best friends all last week either. I did churchy things and went out for frozen yogurt with Miss Megan on Thursday, the day she finished high school and the day before I did as well. I took my final final Friday morning, so SWIGGETY SWAG, THIS GURL'S A GRAD!

Also, I'm going to rabbit trail again, because LOOK WHAT I FOUND:
|
here we have facially-haired Jensen Ackles dancing... |
|
...and HERE we have Tom Hiddleston dancing in similar fashion. |
Coincidence? I think not.
It's good to have survived orientation. It's good to have officially finished high school. It's good to have Rosie home again. And it's good to have a whole summer full of possibilities and adventures lying ahead of me, a lot of which will hopefully involve the Foursome. We have already tackled my graduation party, TFiOS, and all the sobbing that Mercy and I did during said movie. Only God knows what other amazing things we are going to accomplish.
Mercy, my darling, my crying buddy, the sometimes annoying pimple on the face of my life- I can't wait to read your post tomorrow. I'm sure whatever you write about will be much more coherent and organized than this. You do not have a tough act to follow. Ciao <33
