In which I actually write the first normal-sized blogpost this week.

It's hump day!

Here I sit on the glorious Wednesday watching the Yankees Red Sox game typing this most posty of posts, with only 5 days left in my summer vacation.

But, alas, before I begin discussing what I was going to discuss, I must reply to your posts.

My Little Midget: Your post was, albeit short, rather good. It's rather nice to know that other people think about books as much as I do.

Stringbean: Your post this week was also very short. It was so short, in fact, that it was though it never even happened.

Q-Tip: I think it's impressive that you actually posted on your first day of school, because I would have just taken the punishment.

Anyway, onwards we march.

Today my mother and I watched a production of  As You Like It that was directed by Kenneth Brannagh (Alias Gilderoy Lockhart)

and as it was Kenneth Brannagh and he is the god of Shakespeare, it was absolutely fantastic. As You Like It is essentially an entire play about a bunch of people frolicking about in the forest in the pursuit of happiness, so watching it made me want to do some forest-frolicking of my own. Unfortunately, I live in a city and,  it's very hard to find a forest in a city. Also, watching the merry band of Arden forest made me want to talk in Shakespearean, but  I doubt I could do it without being judged. Can we have that conversation about how watered down the English is these days? If I went back into Shakespeare's time and talked in modern English, I would be branded as the village idiot. Also, on the subject of village idiots, how come we don't have them anymore? I mean we still have the, but how come when we see them we can't like "Hark the village idiot approacheth!" If I were to say that when John I mean our village idiot entered the room then the aforementioned idiot would get offended. What had this world become that we can't just call people what they really are? I suppose the farther from Eden we get the more dishonest we become. Christ just needs to return and make us honest again because this is getting ridiculous.

Blegh, I start school on Monday. And yes, I realize that I'm the last member of the Foursome to start school, but I feel justified in complaining for because: Laura is in college learning about things that she actually gives a crap about, Grace is in her senior year and has her gap year to look forward to,  and Mercy spends half her day in arts school which she actually gives a crap about. Not that there aren't parts of school I like. I mean, history and english, that's my cup of tea. Oh, now I want some tea. I'll be back in a second. Alright, were was I....okay. Actually, I forget where I was going with this. Stupid tea distracted me. *Calls to my tea in the kitchen* "It's okay baby, I still love you!"

Alright so this just got weird. I should probably go, you know, baseball to watch, tea to drink.

Grace, I'm looking forward to your post tomorrow!

Gurl please. -Rosie
